RED MAHOE
A HANDFUL OF THICK STOCK
TM#1 SERIES

Red Mahoe is the ,”Whole lotta names tree”. How about: Seaside Hibiscus, the Portia Tree, the Cork Tree, Seaside Mahoe, False Rosewood. Nothing like a little obfuscation to add to the confusion.
Just to clear the air, whatever you call it, it really carves nicely. Below are a few nice shorts, thick enough for small carvings, or to resaw for a box, or cut down for a spindle. You can probably think of something...

The tree has leaves on it all year. When it’s flowering, the flowers are yellow in the morning then tending toward purple in the evening. Then, they do it all again the next day. Pretty psychedelic. Wowie Zowie‼
